Why Is Baccarat a Favourite Among kaki21 Players?

If there's one casino game synonymous with elegance and luxury, it's baccarat. From James Bond films to the world's most prestigious casinos, baccarat has always held a special place among players who appreciate a great game. Now, with kaki21, you can enjoy that same experience without ever leaving Malaysia.

One reason baccarat is so popular among Malaysian players is how simple the rules are. Unlike blackjack, where you're constantly making active decisions, baccarat only asks you to choose between three options: bet on the Banker, the Player, or a Tie. After that, everything plays out automatically according to fixed rules. You can sit back, relax, and enjoy the drama of each round.

At kaki21, we understand that Malaysian players want excitement without the complexity. Our baccarat platform is designed to keep you focused on the game — a clean interface, clear statistics, and a scoreboard that helps you spot patterns with ease.

Baccarat Bet Types & Payouts

Bet smart — know the odds behind every choice

🏦

Banker

1:1

Bet on the Banker hand to win. A 5% commission applies on winnings. The option with the lowest house edge.

House Edge: ~1.06%

🧑‍💼

Player

1:1

Bet on the Player hand to win. No commission — full winnings paid out. Simple and popular among beginners.

House Edge: ~1.24%

🤝

Tie

8:1

Both hands end with the same value. High payout, but lower probability of occurring.

House Edge: ~14.4%

🃏

Pair Bets

11:1

Predict whether the Banker's or Player's first two cards form a pair. Generous payouts for a moderate level of risk.

House Edge: ~10.4%

kaki21 Tip: Statistically, the Banker bet carries the lowest house edge in baccarat. Even with a 5% commission on winnings, it remains the best long-term option. Avoid the Tie bet as your primary wager — the house edge is significantly higher.

How to Play Baccarat – A Complete Guide for Beginners

Baccarat might look intimidating at first with all the scoreboards and technical terms, but it's actually one of the easiest casino games to learn. Let kaki21 walk you through it step by step so you can take your seat at the table with full confidence.

Game objective: Predict which hand — Banker or Player — will have a card value closest or equal to 9. You're not playing against anyone; you're simply betting on the outcome.

Card values: Cards 2–9 are worth their face value. Picture cards (Jack, Queen, King) and 10s are all worth 0. Aces are worth 1. If the total exceeds 9, only the second digit counts — for example, 7+8=15 counts as 5.

Game stream: The dealer deals two cards to the Banker and two to the Player. If either side gets a "natural" (8 or 9 from the first two cards), the game ends immediately. Otherwise, the third-card rules determine whether an additional card is drawn. All of this happens automatically — no decisions are required from you after placing your bet.

Third Card Rules – Quick Reference

Hand	Two-Card Total	Action
Player	0 – 5	Draw a third card
Player	6 – 7	Stand (stop)
Player	8 – 9	Natural – game over
Banker	0 – 2	Always draw a card
Banker	3	Draw if Player is not 8
Banker	4	Draw if Player has 2–7
Banker	5	Draw if Player is 4–7
Banker	6	Draw if Player is 6–7
Banker	7	Stand (stop)
Banker	8 – 9	Natural – game over

You don't need to memorise any of this — everything happens automatically at the kaki21 table!

Reading the Baccarat Scorecard – kaki21 Road Map

One thing that often puzzles new players is the baccarat scoreboard, filled with colourful symbols. At kaki21, we provide a scoreboard that's clear and easy to read. But what exactly is it for?

The baccarat scorecard, commonly known as the "road map", is used to track the results of previous rounds. There are several types of road maps — the Bead Plate (the most basic), Big Road, Big Eye Boy, Small Road, and Cockroach Road. Each displays a different pattern, ranging from the simplest to the most detailed.

For new kaki21 players, start with the Bead Plate alone — it shows each round's result in a simple grid. B (blue) for Banker, P (red) for Player, and T (green) for Tie. Many players use these patterns to decide their next bet, even though statistically each round is independent of the last.

FAQ – kaki21 Baccarat

The most frequently asked questions from our baccarat players

Yes, all live baccarat tables at kaki21 feature real human dealers operating from certified professional casino studios. You can see the dealer via live video stream and interact with them through the chat feature. Every round is completely real — no computer simulation for live dealer games at kaki21.

Betting limits at kaki21 vary by table type. Standard tables start from as low as RM 5 per round, ideal for casual players. Mid-range tables can go up to RM 1,000, while exclusive VIP tables offer limits of RM 10,000 or more per round for high-calibre players.

The 5% commission on Banker bet winnings exists because statistically, the Banker has a slightly higher chance of winning than the Player (around 50.68% vs. 49.32% for non-tie rounds). Without this commission, the Banker bet would be too advantageous for players at the casino's expense. Even with the commission, the Banker bet's house edge (around 1.06%) remains lower than the Player's (1.24%), making it the mathematically stronger choice.

Yes! The kaki21 Welcome Bonus of up to RM 1,000 can be used for baccarat. However, please note that for wagering requirement purposes, the contribution rate for baccarat may differ from slots. Check the Terms & Conditions page or contact kaki21 customer support for more details on the contribution rate for each game.
